FLEET LANDING ANNOUNCES S.A.F.E.R. INITIATIVE
9.1.2020 – Fleet Landing has announced its commitment to achieve Global Biorisk Advisory Council® (GBAC) STAR™ accreditation, the gold standard for prepared facilities. Under the guidance of GBAC, a Division of ISSA, the worldwide cleaning industry association, Fleet Landing will implement the most stringent protocols for cleaning, disinfection and infectious disease prevention across its 125-acre campus as a part of its S.A.F.E.R. at Fleet Landing initiative.
As the cleaning industry’s only outbreak prevention, response and recovery accreditation, GBAC STAR™ helps organizations establish protocols and procedures, offers expert-led training and assesses a facility’s readiness for biorisk situations. The program will verify that Fleet Landing implements best practices to prepare for, respond to and recover from outbreaks and pandemics. To achieve GBAC STAR™ accreditation, Fleet Landing will demonstrate compliance with the program’s 20 core elements, which range from standard operating procedures and risk assessment strategies to personal protective equipment and emergency preparedness and response measures.
S.A.F.E.R. at Fleet Landing outlines the plan to ensure Residents, team members and visitors enjoy the peace of mind and confidence that all measures are being taken to protect health and well-being. The initiative includes the introduction of State-of-the-art technologies, specifically the use of electrostatics for surface disinfection and plasma air filtration systems, Adherence to the highest standards of infection prevention, and Frequent training for team members to ensure best practices are in place. Additionally, Expanded choices for contactless programming and services will ensure Residents will continue to thrive and Regular assessment of outcomes to measure performance will allow the opportunity to improve and adapt as circumstances change.
