COVID-19 UPDATE 6.18.2020
The health and well-being of Residents and team members continues to be Fleet Landing’s top priority. As Florida is seeing an increased number of COVID-19 cases, we remain diligent in taking the necessary precautions to mitigate risks associated with the pandemic. The current trends reinforce the importance of precautions we can all take including practicing good hand hygiene, practicing social distancing, and wearing a face covering when social distancing is not possible, per CDC guidance.
Fleet Landing’s testing initiatives continue in Derfer Pavilion. All Resident tests administered last week have come back negative for COVID-19. Team member testing continues on a weekly basis. Yesterday, Fleet Landing was informed of a positive result from a test administered Monday, June 15th. The team member had been tested the week prior, on Wednesday June 10th and had received a negative result. They are currently in self-isolation at home. The team member had been wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment while interacting with Residents. Residents and responsible parties have been notified. Contact tracing has been completed by the Fleet Landing team and all additional testing will be administered per CDC guidelines. We continue to monitor all Residents and team members for signs and symptoms per CDC guidelines.
