BEACON POINTE IS ONE PART OF FLEET LANDING’S $105 EXPANSION

Fleet Landing, a 125-acre gated retirement community that opened in 1990 in Atlantic Beach near the entrance to the Mayport Naval Station, has had a waiting list of as many as 290 families hoping to move into one of its 354 residential units.
So the fact that Fleet Landing will soon announce an ambitious $105-million construction project that will begin later this year should be well received by those people. That project will include residences, 30 nursing-care beds and 38 assisted-living beds.
